Details

  • Race packet pick-up will be held on:
    Friday, September 23: Noon - 5:00 pm (New additional date) at Marathon Sports, 2312 West 50th Street, Minneapolis (50th Street & Penn Avenue)
    Saturday, September 24: 10:00 am - 4:00 pm (Marathon Sports)
    Sunday, September 25: Beginning at 7:00 am (Minnehaha Park)
  • Athletic Shoe Recycling: Bring your old running shoes to Marathon Sports (Fri & Sat packet pickup) and drop them off for reuse in the local community. Marathon has recycled thousands of shoes for those in need. This year alone they have taken in over 7000 pairs of usable shoes for recycling. (No shoe recycle collection available on race day).
  • All entrants receive an attractive, women's cut technical shirt. Girls receive a special girl's t-shirt.

    XS: fits sizes 2-4
    S: 4-6
    M: 8-10
    L: 12-14
    XL: 14-16
    XXL: 16-18
  • Awards will be determined and details posted in the months ahead.
  • Live music provided by Lauren Redpath, a local woman-led band.

Directions and Parking
Parking is limited and we recommend carpooling or public transportation if at all possible. A limited number of complimentary light rail passes will be available on a first come - first serve basis during packet pick-up at Marathon Sports.

Participant and volunteer drop off the day of the event will be at the Dairy Queen located 1/2 block from event headquarters (4740 Minnehaha Avenue South - closest cross street is Nawadaha Boulevard).

  • Light Rail - from downtown Minneapolis and points north of 50th Street, take the Light Rail south to the 50th Street/Minnehaha Park stop and walk north to Godfrey Parkway through Minnehaha Park. From Mall of America, take the Light Rail north to the 50th Street/Minnehaha Park stop and walk north to Godfrey Parkway through Minnehaha Park.

  • North - Take 35W to Highway 280 south. From 280 take 94 east to Snelling Avenue. Go south on Snelling Avenue to Ford Parkway. Turn right (west) on Ford Parkway, across the river; Ford Parkway turns into 46th Street when you cross the river. On race day you will not be able to get access to park on Godfrey Parkway, so if you keep on 46th Street you can park in the residential area south of 46th Street and walk south to the start of the race on Godfrey Parkway.

  • South - Take 35 E north to Crosstown and head east. From Crosstown take Highway 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) north. Turn right (east) onto 46th Street. Take 46th Street to Godfrey Parkway. There is some parking along Minnehaha Parkway, which runs parallel to Highway 55, and across Highway 55 in the residential area. The race will begin on Godfrey Parkway located at the north end of the park.

  • East Route 1 - Take 94 west to Highway 55 and head south. Take Highway 55 (Hiawatha Avenue) to 46th Street and turn left (east) onto 46th Street. Take 46th to Godfrey Parkway. There is some parking along Minnehaha Parkway, which runs parallel to Highway 55, and across Highway 55 in the residential area. The race will begin on Godfrey Parkway located at the north end of the park.

  • East Route 2 - Take 94 East to Snelling Avenue. Go south on Snelling Avenue to Ford Parkway. Turn right (west) on Ford Parkway, across the river; Ford Parkway turns into 46th Street when you cross the river. On race day you will not be able to get access to park on Godfrey Parkway, so if you keep on 46th Street you can park in the residential area south of 46th Street and walk south to the start of the race on Godfrey Parkway.
