FAQ

Questions About the Race

  1. What is chip timing?
Inside your packet there will be a race chip that needs to be secured to your running shoe prior to the start of the race. After the race, the electronic timing chip MUST be returned. As you cross the finish line please look for a volunteer who will remove the chip from your shoe. All chips not returned the day of the event are subject to a replacement charge of $40.

  2. Can the races be walked?
The 5K event can be either a walk or run event. Walkers are encouraged to begin towards the back of the pack so as to prevent accidents and crowding. Due to the limited amount of time the race course is open, we cannot allow walkers to participate in the 10-mile event.

  3. Are strollers, baby joggers or dogs allowed?
No. For the safety of the participants, strollers, joggers and pets are not allowed.

  4. Where can I keep extra clothing while I am participating?
We will provide a bag check area at the event site, for all participants. You can check your items from 7:00-10:00 am.

  5. Where do I park?
Parking is limited and we suggest carpooling or public transportation if at all possible. See the Directions & Parking section on the Event page for more information.

  6. Will there be refreshments or food?
There will be water stops (including the start/finish area) along the course. In addition, post-race food will be available at the food tent.

  7. Will photos of the event be available to participants?
ASI Photography will be taking photos of participants during the event. Click here to sign up to be notified when the photos have been posted.
